Welcome to the webpage of the Cambridge Ward Eight Democratic Committee.

We represent Harvard Square and the surrounding neighborhood, including Apley Court, and Cabot, Currier, Eliot, Kirkland, Leverett, Lowell, Pforzheimer, Quincy, and Winthrop Houses at Harvard, John F. Kennedy Park, and the Longfellow National Historic Site.   We are proud of our ward and of its Democratic principles.   In 2004, we delivered 87 percent of the vote to John Kerry.

Our members, ranging in age from 21 to 84, do the diverse work of a grassroots political party--holding signs, distributing literature, making calls, electing delegates, endorsing candidates, advocating policies. We are always looking for enthusiastic, hardworking neighbors who share our belief that without strong Democratic organization we cannot realize a free and democratic society.

Please contact us with any questions about our work or our party. We hope that you will join us.
